Agri-PV is dual land-usage for harvesting solar PV energy and farming, where the solar system is installed on agricultural land. For this, our idea is to install a solar system at 3-5meters height, which can let regular farming procedures happen without any interruption, also close to the high electricity buyer location, by making the solar energy and farming systems go hand-in-hand benefiting each-other. Our idea further adds the water-harvesting technique to the APV-solution, by developing rainwater harvesting channels attached at the lower edge of the tilted solar structure to collect the water during rainfall and maintenance of the solar panels. The harvested rainwater shall be stored using recharge pit techniques, and utilized throughout the year for farming, solar modules cleaning, and supplied to the regional water consumers. Also, our uniqueness also lies in the integration of energy, water, and food harvesting on the same land which increases land productivity significantly. The additional benefits of this solution are: 1) Huge land and water consumption of solar systems will be solved as the part of the land can be rented. 2) Integration of water harvesting channels with solar structures will significantly reduce water thefts occurring during cleaning of solar panels. 3) Decentralized power supply which will reduce the huge transmission and distribution losses to the regional electricity proving companies. 4) Extra benefits like Rural electrification and local employment are additional social benefits that the system will be bringing in.
