Assumably, no one has missed that the electricity prices have massively increased lately. Energimyndigheten claims that Sweden's electricity demand is projected to double by the year 2035, and the increasing demand from society on electricity will therefore further increase the electricity prices. To meet this increasing demand the power grid operators are expanding their grid but these actors are expressing that they struggle to expand at the same pace as society electrifies. Even though digitization of power grids has long been ongoing work, sophisticated tools are still missing to facilitate grid operators' daily work. For example, grid operators lack accurate insights into how much energy one can send through the grid. This leads to power losses, power outages, etc. As a result, the end consumer of the electricity is paying for these energy losses and the power grid operators are forced to spend more money on operation and maintenance. All because there's a lack of knowledge within the power grid industry.
