Ausi.here: Providing age appropriate digital reproductive health to adolescents girls

4
By: kwena L

Each year,16 million girls aged 15-19 give birth in developing countries. 1/3 of them do not return to school. The causes of teenage pregnancy are layered but common challenges are lack of information and knowledge about reproductive health and rights.

Ausi.here is a digital platform providing age appropriate reproductive health and support to girls aged 15-19. Ausi is a bantu word for big sister- Ausi.here: big sister here. On the Ausi.here platform girls will learn about their sexual and reproductive health as well as their rights to make informed decisions about their bodies.

In the age of women empowerment and decreasing gender inequality, this is one aspect that hinders achievement in the sustainable development goals.

This is an incredibly valuable contribution, which many people in developed countries have trouble seeing from their perspective. This idea if implemented well, can bring change to many girls in the developing and, not only, nations. Good luck with your idea!
