BikeTrace Smart Lock makes the process of locking a bicycle keyless and efficient.
It can be permanently mounted on bicycle and operated with a smart phone or set to automatically lock/unlock as users approach or move away from bike within a specific distance range
The lock will be equipped with an alarm which protects it against tampering and alerts owners when bicycle has been moved without permission.

How will the smartphone connect to the lock? Bluetooth?
Nice work. As someone who runs a fleet of bikes this is super interesting and much needed. If we would order these our questions would be around: - Service. If power/mechanics somehow fail, who is able and allowed to service them. - Do you have a plan to make it Sw. insurance certified and is the rollout dependant on a certification?
Hi Mauro, I think this is great. Got my bike stolen 3 months ago.... wish I had an alarm on my phone then.... But if you compare your lock to a normal standard lock as I had, would it make a difference? Bike thefts happen so fast if they just get rid of the lock really fast, would it not be the same as now? I’m guessing the transmitter beacon is installed in the lock itself, could you install the beacon in the frame somehow to make it harder to remove? Install it in the saddle post or something. Just curious because I would really love some more protection with my next bike. Good luck!
