Performance and Sustainability for the next generation of athletes.
80% of a material's environmental burden lies in the design and respective processing. At Glenntex, we understand that sports apparel requires high performance - but it need not be at the expense of the environment.
The goals in sports innovation often look for contributors to faster, stronger and lighter materials and products. But they are often unsustainable; virgin plastics are being heavily used in product design, product longevity is not improving, and lifecycles do not promote recyclability.
The second issue is that many alternatives - recycled, natural or biofabricated materials - are not mechanically suitable nor cost-effective for many high performance sports applications. So how can we balance performance and sustainability?
Leading sports brands are searching for innovative material solutions that can improve the performance and durability of polymers without compromising the environmental impact.
Glenntex is proposing the solution.

I see a trend for more sustainable products, also sportswear. Why do you wanna stick to plastic? Why not using innovative plant based solutions? Why not finding more feasible manufacturing ways for these ones. Especially because polymers are not healthy for people (and nature)
