Återbruket Mobilia

Återbruket Mobilia is a creative hub, incubator and testbed for innovative and sustainable businesses and entrepreneurs in need of an arena to test new, sustainable business concepts and circular business models.

The concept builds on three separate but mutually supportive pillars.

The BAZAAR- A 350 m2 creative meeting- and market place on street-level, located in the iconic and recoginizable shopping centre Mobilia, in central Malmö. This is where local artists/handicrafters/entrepreneurs inspire the individual consumer, through creative up-cycling and sustainable production. Products are up-cycled in-house, and put back into circulation through the Bazaar. Up-cycling is still and emerging niche. It is a time-consuming production method and entrepreneurs in this field need support in order to develop and sustain their business models. By implementing a collectively run market place, where a handful sustainable enterprises share the responisbility of manning the Bazaar, each entrepreneur can put more focus on production and growing their respective businesses.

The MALL- Larger, more well-established brands, with more focus on conventional second-hand trade or with clear, innovative and climate-friendly business models, share roughly 1500 m2 one floor down. Here business-to-consumer and business-to-business concepts, as well as a small office landscape, a restaurant and a farmers market, make up a unique mix of sustainable enterprises in a traditionally commercial environment. By gathering a multitude of enterprises, both big and small, we aim to promote cross-pollination over borders, and foster new, innovative collaborations.

The HUB - In a 150 m2 open studio space, equipped with all necessities for lectures, work-shops and conferences, companies as well as the general public are invited to learn more about sustainable development and circular economic processes. We aim to educate and inspire corporations, politicians and decision makers, as well as the general public, in an attempt to shift the discourse and help shape the climate justice generation of tomorrow.
