PeckiiLess will provide diabetics with a non-invasive, pain-free and less expensive way to accurately check their blood glucose levels.
Using human exhalation and nano-sensor technology, PeckiiLess can replace the most common way of checking glucose, the finger prick. Some diabetics need to check their glucose up to 10 times a day and making that many holes in their fingers can be painful and lead to swelling and even scar tissue. Plus, every time they check, they use a needle and a test strip which are then thrown away. There will be no one-time use items with PeckiiLess, saving the environment and money.
PeckiiLess can be fitted with a Bluetooth transmitter which can send the glucose levels to an app that can not only track the levels but can notify the person when it's time to check their glucose and can even send a warning to a medical professional, friend or family member if their glucose levels are dangerously high or low.
Estimates are that approximately 50-60% of all diabetics who need to check their glucose levels don't for various reasons. The PeckiiLess technology will provide an alternative that will deliver this valuable service to a substantially higher number of people in a more convenient, non-invasive, safer and more economical way.
