ED Global Challenge is a competition arranged by Entrepreneurial Days in collaboration with Blue, Venture Cup, KTH Innovation and Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship.

Clean water, sustainable energy and health are some of the 17 UN Sustainability goals agreed to by world leaders in 2015. Do you have a business idea that can contribute to these or some of the other 14 goals? Apply for a chance to win 5 000 SEK in Proof of Concept funding from KTH Innovation, with a chance to get up to 300 000 SEK to fund your startup project. Winners will also be connected with an entrepreneur related to their field of interest over a lunch offered by SSES. On top of this, our sponsor, Blue, will invite their favourite teams to pitch their idea to them for a chance to get up to 500 000 SEK in additional investment.

How do I compete?

To participate you need to present your startup by using a pitch deck of a maximum of 20 slides which are recommended to contain Venture Cup’s 11 topics, see their guide. The pitch deck can only be seen by our jury members, who have all signed confidentiality agreements. Additional to the pitch deck, you can add a presentation of a maximum of 1000 words.

A bit of good advice is to submit to the competition and join the community as early as possible while the competition is open. By doing that, you can receive as much feedback as possible from other users. And since you are able to make changes to your submission all the way until the deadline, this allows you to improve your ideas along the way.

How does the competition process work?

After the deadline, all competing startups will be reviewed by a screening jury who will evaluate and score all entries based on our criteria. The top ideas will get the opportunity to pitch on stage at the final event in front of our jury which decides the winners.
